01Overview
Starbox Trading manufactures nail and wire products in the Philippines. The whole operation ran on a hand-built Google Sheets workbook. Aether Labs turned that workbook into a web-based ERP — keeping the workflow the team already knew, with a real database behind it.
02The challenge
Every part of the business lived in one shared workbook: raw-material deliveries, production batches, client purchase orders, walk-in sales, fulfillment, invoices, and payments.
- Nine tabs were wired together with lookup and array formulas, so one broken reference could quietly break the rest.
- Product codes were entered inconsistently, and several computed cells showed formula errors.
- One shared sheet served every role, with access controlled only by tab and colour.
- Suppliers, costs, and bills of materials were implied by the data rather than recorded.
03The solution
We analysed the workbook tab by tab, mapped how each sheet fed the next, and rebuilt that flow as an ERP with proper records, roles, and an audit trail.
Each team — sales, billing, production, and HR — now works in its own screens, and every stock movement and financial event is recorded in one database.
04The system
Raw materials & receiving
Incoming deliveries recorded against suppliers, with a stock-movement ledger.
Production
Production batches consume the bill of materials and move from curing to cured stock.
Sales & fulfillment
Client purchase orders and walk-in sales flow through to delivery.
Billing & receivables
Invoices, payments, and receivables aging in one place.
Role-based dashboards
Each role sees what it needs, and every change is recorded in an audit trail.
Ready for accounting
Financial events are captured so an accounting integration can be added later.

06Results
All nine workbook processes now run in the system, from raw materials to billing and receivables.
Before handover, the system passed 93 of 93 automated QA checks covering day-to-day workflows, access control, and billing and receivables.
